The way we do things

Requirement Meetings & Initial Pricing

• This is where the initial discussion is started around your requirements, ideas and expectations. From our point of view, we offer a technical angle on how to best achieve your objectives, and in most cases this involves a bit of "brainstorming". An indicative price is also set at the end of the initial meeting, with the understanding that a more concrete price will be available after a specification has been built.

Specification Building

• This is the most critical part of the project cycle, and if not correctly executed can break a project at later stages. After the initial brainstorming session, you (the client) should have a very clear & specific view on your requirements. These requirements are now translated into technical specification documents by us, which are used during the development cycle. During this period, allot of communication and interaction between the specification builder and the you (the client) is required. This can be by e-mail, phone or follow up meetings and discussions.

Final Pricing and Client Approval

• Once the technical aspects of the project have been finalized and the full development impact of the work to be done can be seen, a final price is set forward to you (the client). If you approve the pricing structure, all the legal paperwork is completed. These will include any contracts, time schedules, payment agreements and IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) transfer or licensing agreements and after sales support agreements.
• If required, first stage invoicing is done. (In most cases 50% of the total project price is paid in advance)

Development & Various Preview Stages

• Development commences and according to agreement, various previews are made available during various stages of the development cycle. In general all work is previewed on a staging server provided by zClix. Your  feedback is also be taken into account during the development process, but no changes that deviate from the initially agreed specification will be made at this point. They will be scheduled for a later, separate, development cycle.
• If required and agreed upon, documentation for the product is also drawn up at this point. These could be in printed format or electronic, in the form of help files.

Final Q&A Testing

• During this stage quality & assurance and compatibility testing is done and last changes are made to ensure a final product that meets the initial requirements. Parts of this testing is also done with the client involved.

Delivery, Deployment & Training

• This stage of the cycle involves migrating and deploying the project to its final destination. If required and agreed upon, on- or off-site training is provided as well.
• Final customer invoicing is done at this point and the project is signed off as completed.
• If agreed upon, the support cycle of the new project is started and any additional training schedules are agreed.
